Bottles and Bin lids

'Bottles and Bin lids' is a current project, ongoing should I say. It is set to be my first feature. Set in the mind 1950's, a post-war dark Liverpool, we follow the thoughts of six people: A docker, a drunk, a single mother, a barmaid, a teddy boy and least of all a bus conductor. These peoples lives are entwined but only us, (the audience), know this. They are connected by a magical evening in which Liverpool and India are one. A story of redemption, acceptance and love. The roots of the film come from a Richard Hawley record cover and the 'lonely man' advert for Strand cigarettes. As I created my puppets, they breathed life, giving me the plot, story and narrative. Some sections of this piece have been filmed, but I now need a larger space to work from for the next 8 months to complete this film. I will be working with Paula Simms for script and direction and hope to include Rachael Diop for the musical score. My next job is to acquire funding and support so that this piece can finally come to life. Watch this space.
